On February 11, 2011, Coupe partnered with Noel Franus of Crispin Porter + Bogusky to host to a seminar called "Sonic Engagement."

We Love You, Phillip Morris
Between our five studios and our dozen or so staffers, we've got a lot going on! So sometimes it takes us a while to notice things... So thank you, Anonymous Emailer who gave us kudos for our own Greg McRae's credit on the soundtrack to the Ewan McGregor / Jim Carrey film I Love You, Phillip Morris. Greg had the pleasure of once again working with Friend of Coupe Nick Urata and DeVotchKa (Also responsible for the fantastic Little Miss Sunshine soundtrack).

Help! I need to copyright my music!
We get asked about once a day by artists "How do we copyright our music?"
The simple answer is that once you've recorded it; it's yours. That said, if it ever comes down to proving when you recorded something, you may want to have some more ammunition in your arsenal. Here's the best, and simplest explanation we've seen of this issue:

Greatest Tank Battles
War is hell.
But creating sound design for war? Well, that's just fun as hell. For the Military Channel's series "Greatest Tank Battles" we've been blowing a lot of stuff up.
We're having a great time doing it, but we take it seriously! We aim for creating a mix of authentic tank- and ordinance-specific sounds as well as some more Hollywood style effects to get you as close to the action as you'll ever want to be. This episode is on the battle of El Alamein in WWII.

On Set with Roy Halee
Coupe was honored today to host legendary producer Roy Halee (Simon & Garfunkel, Journey, The Byrds). Producers of a documentary on the 40th anniversary of Bridge Over Troubled Water chose Coupe's Studio A as the location to film an interview with Roy.
